Huge congratulations to Year 13 student Ivan on achieving a Bronze Grade 1 certificate in Round 1 of this year’s British Physics Olympiad, organised by Oxford University.
After a record 9,500 students entered the new screening round, only 1,811 progressed to the challenging written paper. Ivan placed in the top 800 nationally, narrowly missing Silver by just three marks — an outstanding accomplishment!
This exceptional achievement matches the success of Lucton alumni in 2019.
