Over 60 students from Lucton School were involved in this year’s Hereford Performing Arts Festival hosted at the Courtyard Theatre. From Prep School through to Sixth Form, over sixty Lucton students represented the school, and they did so superbly. Not only did they demonstrate cheery dispositions and positive attitudes, but they showed great talent across the board.
A wide range of activities took place over the four-day festival in a host of disciplines including poetry speaking, prepared reading, sight-reading and acting. Lucton students were outstanding, with considerable success scooping over forty medals from the competition.
Said Mrs Rogers of Prep School participants, “I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of all of the performers and how well they have all done. All the children were impeccably behaved and I was hugely impressed with their super efforts.”
Mrs Sharman, LAMDA teacher for Middle, Senior & Sixth Form commented, “They’ve worked so hard in a very tricky term and all credit to them for being dedicated to the drama”.
