We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Nursery Practitioner to join our dynamic Nursery team. Could that be you?

As our Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest learners. You will work closely with children aged 6 months – 4 years old, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities, interactive play, and thoughtful guidance.

About the Role

Contract type: Full-time, permanent

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A willingness to train towards or holds a Level 3 qualification in childcare.
  • Previous experience working in a Nursery setting.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for turning everyday moments into magical learning opportunities.

As our Business Studies and Economics Teacher, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and guiding our students towards a deeper understanding of business principles, economic theories and real-world applications.

About the Role and You

Contract type: Full-time, permanent

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30pm including three Saturdays and Prep evening duties a term, as well as parents’ evenings and curriculum events

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Start date: September 2024

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Economics to Year 10 to Year 13 and introducing Business Studies to the corresponding year groups.
  • Foster a learning environment where every pupil feels valued and nurtured.
  • Bridging the gap between theory and practice by integrating hands-on learning experiences, case studies and industry partnerships, preparing students for success in both academia and the workforce.
  • Encourage creativity and entrepreneurship, empowering students to explore new ideas, take calculated risks and develop innovative solutions to societal and economic problems.

About You

We are seeking a visionary and dedicated Business Studies and Economics Teacher who:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or a related field.
  • Has QTS (essential).
  • Has at least 1 year’s experience teaching.
  • Has experience designing and implementing inspirational and engaging schemes of work.
  • Is flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic.
  • Has a passion for fostering creativity.

As our Residential Graduate Assistant, you will support all aspects of Boarding life at Lucton School as well as other various departments such as sport, performing arts, after-school clubs, outdoor learning and trips.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • To support various academic departments around the school to include music, drama, sport, equestrian, CCF etc.  
  • Lifeguarding for all school swimming sessions at the Prince Edward Swimming Pool as required.  
  • Working within the Boarding House to help with all duties, including supervision of children, dining room supervision, bedtime roll etc.
